Responsibilities

Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and wall applications
Terminate CAT3/CAT5/CAT6 jacks, mount faceplates, and install surface-mount boxes
Perform IDC terminations on 110/66 blocks and patch panels
Install and mount backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber hardware
Install proper grounding for racks, equipment, and cables
Perform continuity testing on horizontal and riser cables
Utilize volt-ohm meters, tone sets, and related test equipment
Diagnose issues including opens, shorts, crosses, and swapped pairs
Lead small crews and ensure high-quality, on-time completion of tasks
Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to junior technicians
Coordinate tasks, timelines, and personnel with project managers
Complete timesheets, work orders, material transfers, change orders, and tool tracking accurately and on time
Follow all Company, customer, and industry safety standards and regulations
Act as a professional liaison with client representatives

Required

Strong structured cabling skills
Ability to lead small crews
Solid understanding of industry standards for copper and fiber installations
Proficiency with CAT5/CAT6 cabling, structured cabling, punchdowns, fiber splicing, cable pulling, and rack installation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills
Ability to work at heights, off ladders, and in confined spaces
Lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs
Distinguish color codes, read small print, and hear typical telecom signals
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to travel within the region as needed
Regular attendance is mandatory
Complete timesheets, work orders, material transfers, change orders, and tool tracking accurately and on time
Follow all Company, customer, and industry safety standards and regulations
Act as a professional liaison with client representatives
