Responsibilities
Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise Splunk environments—including clustering, replication, and indexer optimization
Manage and optimize Splunk forwarders, DB Connect, metrics ingestion, and related components
Perform upgrades across Splunk Enterprise and Universal Forwarders
Build dashboards, visualizations, and UI components for system and application monitoring
Conduct root cause investigations and performance analysis using Splunk and Dynatrace
Integrate Splunk with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, OpenShift, and Bitbucket
Automate operational tasks and performance monitoring
Ensure data integrity, access controls, and compliance across multi‑site deployments
Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for architecture, automation, and operational procedures
Qualification
Required
Expert-level experience as a Splunk Engineer or Architect
Strong knowledge of Splunk clustering design and administration
Experience with Splunk forwarders, Splunk Collect, DB Connect, and timestamp alignment
Strong Linux/Windows administration and shell scripting skills
Proficiency in Java, Python, or Windows scripting
Strong regex knowledge and advanced Splunk query language skills
Proven debugging, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience with automation/deployment tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic, AutoSys)
Background working in secure, multi‑data‑center environments
Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Splunk Certified Administrator or Architect
