Responsibilities
Design, implement and operate services, microservices and components that will improve the SQL DB service offerings ensuring quality, maintainability, and end-to-end ownership
Release features on time, with high quality, meeting functional, performance, scalability, and compliance requirements
Strengthen the engineering process to ensure cloud deployments are done in the most efficient way and meet the targeted reliability, performance, scalability, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) goals
Identify improvements in supportability and customer self-diagnostics to enhance live monitoring and address performance and reliability related issues
Learn our customers’ experience first-hand by participating in the on-call rotation for the service teams
Drive decisions with data, prioritize customer obsession, and leverage telemetry from production systems and customer usage pattern

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
2+ years of experience developing backend services like storage, databases or networking systems in large distributed systems environment
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred
3+ years of experience with distributed systems
2+ years of hands-on experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies)
