Responsibilities

Lead user research initiatives, including conducting interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather comprehensive insights into user behaviors, preferences, and pain points within the shared platform environment
Analyze research findings and translate them into actionable user personas, user journeys, and detailed design requirements that will guide the design and development process
Design and develop intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for various applications and tools within the shared platform, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and strict adherence to design standards and best practices
Collaborate effectively with developers and technical teams to ensure that design solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and fully aligned with performance, observability, and security requirements
Actively participate in the design and implementation of robust data governance and security measures, ensuring that user interfaces promote data integrity, privacy, and compliance with all relevant regulations
Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across all user interfaces within the shared platform
Conduct ongoing usability testing and gather continuous user feedback to iteratively improve and refine the user experience, proactively addressing performance, stability, and observability issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all design solutions are aligned with business goals, technical constraints, and stakeholder requirements
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design, development, accessibility, and user-centered design principles

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred. Will accept 7 years of experience in lieu of education
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centric design solutions
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar software
Strong understanding of user research methodologies, usability testing, and design thinking principles
Demonstrated experience in designing for complex systems, data-driven applications, and enterprise software solutions
In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG, Section 508)
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to thrive in an agile environment and adapt to changing requirements and priorities

Preferred

Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a significant plus
