Human Resources Assistant

Responsibilities

Assist with talent acquisition efforts by sourcing candidates through ATS (Applicant Tracking System) tools such as Indeed
Coordinate employee orientation sessions and facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires
Support employee evaluation and performance management initiatives by gathering data and maintaining accurate records
Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, workers' compensation, and leave policies such as FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act)
Maintain HRIS systems like Paylocity to ensure data accuracy and streamline workforce management processes
Handle data collection and entry related to employee records, contracts, and compliance documentation
Contribute to HR projects such as affirmative action planning, succession planning, and organization design initiatives
May be asked on occasion to assist at neighboring Cleveland Dental Institute locations

Qualification

Required

Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles within HR environments
Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures
Familiarity with HR sourcing strategies and applicant tracking systems
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle conflict management effectively
Proficiency in HRIS platforms; experience with payroll systems like Paylocity is a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using project management tools
Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills and organizational abilities
Successful completion of a background check is required

Preferred

Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred
