Responsibilities

Install, configure, upgrade, and manage SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) on Windows, Linux, and Azure (Azure SQL DB, MI, SQL VM)
Implement and maintain High Availability & DR solutions (Always On AG, FCI, mirroring, log shipping)
Monitor and optimize performance using DMVs, Query Store, Extended Events; tune queries and indexes
Design and manage backup/recovery strategies, RTO/RPO compliance, and DR testing
Automate administrative tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, and SQL Agent
Manage SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS environments
Conduct capacity planning, baseline analysis, and system health monitoring
Manage Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases (user management, tablespaces, backups)
Perform patching, minor upgrades, and performance monitoring
Support application teams and assist in Oracle-to-SQL Server migrations
Deploy and maintain PostgreSQL (v12+), including replication and HA
Perform backup/recovery and performance tuning
Manage security, roles, and database migrations

Qualification

Required

Strong expertise in MS SQL Server (70%)
Working knowledge of Oracle (20%)
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (10%)
Experience with database installation, configuration, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, automation, and production support across enterprise environments
