The role involves developing applications, creating reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
Develops Universe (U2) applications
Develops reports to be extracted from the current system to the new system
Writes description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to modify computer programs using internal incident tracking system (IssueTrak)
Reviews application capabilities, to determine if requested program change is possible within the existing structure
Reviews system needs and makes recommendations
Provide documentation on program change requests and produce detail changes made to any application in source control system (including in-line comments and cross-reference to IssueTrak #)Provide support and documentation as needed
Develops and maintains working relationships with coworkers, vendors, and university personnel
Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associates degree or two years college education or technical school/university
At least 2 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced knowledge of LINUX and U2 systems
Ability to read, write and understand English
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives
Ability to read, comprehend, analyze, and interpret general business information and governmental regulations
Ability to write reports and communicate effectively using telephonic, written, and electronic means
Ability to effectively and respectfully present information one-on-one, small, and large group situations to customers, management and employees of the organization
Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and develop solutions/strategies
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information or instructions with several undefined and some concrete variables
Good analytical, quantitative skills, organizational and management skills
Ability to utilize a computer
Ability to use a variety of office machines and equipment
Ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds
Ability to sit; handle objects; key pad, papers, books and reach
Ability to stand; walk/move; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color vision
