The role focuses on risk management, maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor coordination, and operational reporting to ensure high availability and reliability of mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities
Oversee on-site management of shift technicians, senior technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is performed according to established procedures
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on critical systems including:
Switchgear
Generators
UPS systems
Power distribution equipment
Chillers and cooling towers
Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAHs)
Building monitoring systems
Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare operational reports
Partner with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize facility safety, reliability, and efficiency
Support emergency response operations for critical systems
Assist with asset and inventory management
Contribute to facility design, build-outs, and efficiency improvement projects as needed
Participate in recruiting support activities when required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree with relevant experience
0–2 years of relevant technical work experience
0–2 years of management or team leadership experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, complex environment
Electrical or mechanical systems background
Safety-oriented mindset
Strong troubleshooting skills
Preferred
0–2 years of Data Center Engineering experience
0–2 years of Data Center management experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
Fundamental knowledge of network design and low-voltage cabling (copper/fiber)
