Responsibilities
Designing, building, and implementing end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) for injection molding automation
Programming and integrating robots and PLCs, including PLC-to-robot communication, to support new tooling and production processes
Supporting process improvements through automation upgrades and custom equipment builds
Training production teams on new automation systems, tooling, and workflows
Troubleshooting automation, robotics, vision systems, and auxiliary equipment on the floor
Collaborating closely with process engineering, tooling, and operations teams
Qualification
Required
Prefer Local candidates
Hands-on manufacturing technologist who enjoys designing, building, and improving automation systems in a high-precision environment
Designing, building, and implementing end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) for injection molding automation
Programming and integrating robots and PLCs, including PLC-to-robot communication, to support new tooling and production processes
Supporting process improvements through automation upgrades and custom equipment builds
Training production teams on new automation systems, tooling, and workflows
Troubleshooting automation, robotics, vision systems, and auxiliary equipment on the floor
Collaborating closely with process engineering, tooling, and operations teams
Robot programming and integration experience with Fanuc, Denso, Universal, Wittmann (or similar platforms)
PLC programming, troubleshooting, and PLC-to-robot communication, Mitsubishi, Omron, or comparable systems
Experience integrating vision systems such as Cognex, Eye+, Avalon, or similar
Strong understanding of injection molding machines, peripherals, and automation interfaces
Experience supporting molding process improvements through mechanical and automation upgrades
Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) for mechanical design and EOAT development
Hands-on fabrication using chop saws, band saws, drill presses, Bridgeports, and other shop tools
Experience with CNC machining is a plus
Ability to design, build, test, and implement automation equipment from concept to production
Strong troubleshooting mindset and mechanical/electrical aptitude
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
