Geologist Student Intern
The State of Michigan is offering a Summer Internship program through EGLE, providing students with a practical application of their academic knowledge in a professional workplace. The intern will assist district staff in compiling and organizing geological and environmental data to support various State-funded projects within the Jackson District.

Responsibilities
Assist district staff by compiling and organizing geological, hydrogeological, topographical, and other environmental data from multiple sources
Generate geologic cross-sections, maps, and contaminant plume models that support the development of conceptual site models
Contribute to a variety of State-funded projects within the Jackson District
Attend an in-person orientation session on the first day
Complete a presentation about their project to EGLE staff and stakeholders during an organized event at the end of the summer internship session
Qualification
Required
You must be actively enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution and reached junior or senior level status going into fall 2025 or an actively enrolled graduate student
A cover letter detailing why you are interested in this specific internship
A resume highlighting your education and experience as it relates to this internship
A copy of your current transcripts showing coursework completed and active enrollment
