UF Health is seeking a Support Technician to assist in providing excellent patient care. The support tech will serve as a mobility assistant and unit desk support, managing various tasks to optimize patient mobility and ensure a clean care environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a mobility assistant, working with the registered nurse to optimize patient mobility using specialized patient lifting equipment

Manage the nurse call system needs, answer telephones, stock supplies/equipment, and file documents

Ensure a clean and uncluttered environment of care

Provide nursing support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care

Required

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated excellence in public contact skills (respect for others, courteous, tactfulness)

Dependability, ability to accept direction and interact with others as a team member essential

Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently

Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology

Preferred

College degree preferred; demonstrated computer experience

Previous clerical or nursing assistant experience preferred
