Coatings Process Engineer

Responsibilities
Support current low-volume high-mix production with on-site responsiveness to factory equipment, process, materials, and product problems
Factory production execution support includes developing and implementing well-controlled processes using data-driven methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) with writing shop process documentation
Develop and execute new product builds typically with automated equipment, often requiring creative solutions for next-generation product designs
Ensure processes developed and executed meet product quality requirements (J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, IPC, etc.)
Process improvement projects to improve factory productivity through leveraging new technologies, investigating and qualifying new materials, and more
Capital equipment down-selection and integration to meet current and future business needs
Effective cross-functional communication of technical information
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
Manufacturing experience with surface mount technology (SMT), microelectronics and automated assembly equipment
Preferred
Process development and qualification experience in Spray Coatings such Silicone and Urethane and/or Parylene Coatings
Technical writing experience for operator instructions, process and/or material qualification reports, equipment vendor statement of works, etc
Demonstrated problem solving and mechanical aptitude with the ability to work in a cleanroom 6+ hours per day
Self-motivated, proactive, ability to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment
