Solution Engineer - East Coast

Groundcover is a fast-growing B2D company reinventing how developers monitor cloud-native applications and understand their impact at scale. They are seeking a Solutions Engineer to manage technical sales cycles, deliver product presentations, and enhance customer solutions.

Responsibilities

Work with our account executives to plan, prepare and execute deals in complex and technical sales cycles
Deliver clear presentations and demos that communicate the product uniqueness and the problems it solves
Manage the technical aspects of the entire sales cycle, including Proof of Concepts/Value
Understand and communicate customer needs to the product teams for future product enhancements
Build solutions to fill gaps and enhance the core product
Know the Observability and log management markets well and be able to help customers choose the right solutions for them
Be active on internal and external Slack channels
Present at conferences, meetups, podcasts, livestreams etc
Go the extra mile to help groundcover disrupt the observability market, by offering thoughts, insights, and suggestions on how we can improve our go to market efforts, and improve the offering

Required

Must be located and available to work during EST hours
At least 3 years experience in customer-facing technical roles
2+ years of observability experience, with a deep understanding of commercial vendors such as Datadog, Dynatrace, NewRelic, Splunk, Sumologic, Coralogix, and open source tooling such as Elastic, Loki, Grafana, Prometheus, etc
A ‘can do' and ‘must win' attitude, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to help build whatever is needed to improve our chances of winning business
Knowledge of technologies like Docker, Containers, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift, as well as integrating data sources such as Cloudwatch, OTel, and log and metric data, such as Prometheus, FluentD/Fluentbit
Customer facing experience - beholding an engaging personality, charisma, and the ability to command a room or zoom
Consultative and analytical, with an ability to identify and solve complete processes and infrastructure
Expect (and hopefully enjoy) frequent travel
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in related discipline
