Technical Writer
Reczu is seeking a Technical Writer responsible for the design, writing, editing, and re-writing of software user guides and related publications. The role involves acquiring subject matter knowledge and transforming existing documentation for consumption by AI bots.
Responsibilities
Write, review, and edit materials including user guides, test certification memos, reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, standard operating procedures, job aids, and other operational documentation and related technical publications
Translate complex processes and systems into clear, step-by-step instructions
Improve the quality, usability, and efficiency of existing documentation
Research topics and interview stakeholders to understand communication product requirements
Analyze business problems and help prescribe communication solutions
Utilize provided tools and workflows to track documentation progress and ensure publication on Learning Management and Governance tools
Provide weekly verbal and written status updates to management regarding progress, issues, and concerns
Lead and/or participate in meetings supporting new products, initiatives, or operational work groups to assess process and documentation impacts
Provide subject matter expertise for operational initiatives
Communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders
Ensure project documentation complies with company legal, business, and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Business, or Technical discipline
3 years of experience as a Technical Writer or in a communications role
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience
Ability to grasp technical concepts and convey information to technical and non-technical audiences – proficient
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems – proficient
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel – proficient
Ability to use screen capture and editing software – proficient
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – advanced
Ability to work independently and in small teams in a fast-paced environment – advanced
Team-oriented with professional judgment and alignment to organizational goals – advanced
Demonstrates initiative and works independently and collaboratively – advanced
Well organized and detail-oriented – advanced
Certified Technical Writer – Publications & Graphic Arts (upon hire)
Preferred
Knowledge of call center operations, claims, enrollment, billing, and workflows
Knowledge of claims processing systems such as FEP Bridge, Facets, and NASCO
Knowledge of the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
