Responsibilities
Lead the digital manufacturing transformation across 40 food manufacturing plants by designing roadmaps, implementing solutions, and managing operations
Own the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) service, ensuring technology solutions effectively support manufacturing processes across IT and OT domains
Collaborate with business stakeholders and other IT service owners to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
Evaluate emerging technologies and develop comprehensive architecture plans that prioritize integration, performance, security, and analytics
Provide technical leadership throughout solution lifecycles, guiding teams on best practices and driving innovation through advanced technologies like AI, machine learning, and digital twins
Oversee multisite MES implementations, ensure sustainability and compliance, and align product roadmaps with organizational strategies
Troubleshoot production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and leverage best practices from PepsiCo divisions and other industries to deliver world-class plant performance
Create and execute solutions for the manufacturing supply chain systems across all North American manufacturing facilities from an IT perspective
Work closely with engineering teams and business supply chain teams to understand the business cases, create and recommend full end-to-end solutions, and oversee the execution of new designs
Oversee the addition of new features and upgrades to an existing MES through newer technologies such as machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and digital twins
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience IT, OT, MES, and IIoT systems, applications, and technologies
Strong Understanding of reference architectures such as ISA95 and ISA88, B2MML and ERP integration (SAP)
Knowledge of HMI Systems, PLC and SCADA integration with MES Platforms
Experience working on and expertise knowledge of GE Proficy MES suite of products with Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio .NET or Java Script programming, Python and etc
Ability to develop project/program plans, drive forward initiatives, solve business and technical problems, and lead program governance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and disciplines, senior leadership presentations
7+ years of experience working on and expertise knowledge of MES (manufacturing execution systems)
Experience and ability to design MES solutions for feature adds, upgrades, enhancements, etc. for applications or systems involved in factory manufacturing processes
Solid conceptual understanding of cloud environments, ML, AI, and Digital Twins
Ability to understand a business case/requirements, recommend appropriate technical designs & solutions, and take accountability for the execution of designs
Strong written & verbal communication, attention to detail, problem solving, interpersonal and leadership skills to articulate insights, challenges, and solutions to senior and executive leadership
Preferred
Experience in ThingWorx platform design and implementation
Experience with GE Proficy MES
Understanding of Azure Cloud platform
