The role involves providing hands-on support in a lab environment, assisting the engineering team with tasks such as soldering, operating 3D printers, and managing inventory while gaining exposure to prototyping and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities
Perform hands-on lab tasks such as soldering, electrical assembly, and light fabrication
Set up, operate, and maintain 3D printers and CNC equipment according to design specifications
Track action items and milestone deliverables; identify and report delays or risks promptly
Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to gather inputs, share status updates, and resolve scheduling conflicts
Manage inventory of consumables, track usage, and suggest replenishment needs
Stay aware of new fabrication tools and best practices; help implement relevant improvements
Support the Project Manager by assisting with internal reporting and documentation
Work effectively in a dynamic environment, prioritize tasks independently, and follow through to completion (including occasional after-hours support when required)
Qualification
Required
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Requires a valid Drivers License
Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associates or Bachelors degree in a technology, engineering, or business-related field
Familiarity with prototyping workflows and typical lab environments (e.g., common materials, tools, and equipment)
Basic understanding of 3D printing processes, including printer setup, slicer software, and material selection
Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to troubleshoot equipment or process issues
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical team members
Self-motivated and organized; capable of working independently, handling multiple tasks, and prioritizing in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of or exposure to open-source software tools (e.g., CAD programs, slicers, version control) and their practical use
Understanding of basic lab safety principles and commitment to following safety policies and procedures
Demonstrated professionalism, trustworthiness, and responsible conduct
Preferred
Familiarity with CAD and 3D modeling tools
Awareness of maintenance and troubleshooting approaches for additive manufacturing or CNC equipment
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., local networks, VPNs, remote access tools)
