Responsibilities
Develop solutions for new integration use cases using the Rhapsody Integration Engine
Design and develop interfaces based on business and technical requirements
Create technical requirements and system designs aligned with integration specifications
Build custom filters and mappers using the Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK)
Write JavaScript using both JavaScript v1 and v2 filters within Rhapsody
Create API integrations including SOAP, REST, and other web service calls
Perform data format translations involving HL7 v2, HL7 v3, FHIR, CCDA, XML, JSON, and flat files
Work on CDA mapping and conversion workflows
Prepare documentation required as part of SDLC processes
Build database connections for SQL Server or Oracle databases
Develop TCP, HTTP, LLP, and OAuth connections according to integration standards
Own overall system design and ensure code and configuration quality
Analyze and resolve issues within Rhapsody integrations and components
Perform code debugging, enhancements, and maintenance activities
Apply server patches, restart services, and manage system certificates
Maintain application system health, including status checks, alerts, and remediation
Manage error queues and reprocess messages as needed
Produce latency and performance reports and generate monthly status reports
Oversee code migration to production environments
Conduct Rhapsody version upgrades and related testing
Communicate with users and integrated applications to resolve issues
Manage Rhapsody memory, storage, and performance tuning
Qualification
Required
Strong JavaScript programming experience
Proficiency in SQL, XML, and healthcare integration standards
Deep experience with HL7 v2.x messaging, HL7 FHIR, and CDA standards
Knowledge of healthcare vocabularies including LOINC, SNOMED, and RxNorm
Experience with Health Information Exchange (HIE) technologies
Familiarity with Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) standards
Ability to implement solutions based on implementation guides
Several years of experience with: Rhapsody Integration Engine (7.x), Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK), Custom message payload translation across formats, Web services including SOAP, REST, OAuth, TCP, LLP, Transport encryption/security (TLS, mutual certificate authorization)
