Responsibilities
Design and implement monitoring, automation, and reporting solutions (SolarWinds, Cisco, etc.)
Install, configure, and maintain servers, VMs, storage, networking, and firewalls (VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco, etc.)
Support messaging platforms such as IBM MQ or related technologies
Follow change management, incident response, and testing processes
Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues
Perform system maintenance (patching, upgrades, performance monitoring)
Develop and maintain system documentation and best practices
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Mentor junior team members
Provide after-hours support for critical infrastructure issues
Assist with vendor evaluations and audit support
Qualification
Required
Experience with IBM MQ, Amazon MQ, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ
Experience with API management tools (IBM DataPower, Amazon API Gateway, MuleSoft, etc.)
Strong Windows and Linux administration experience
Scripting experience (Bash or PowerShell)
Programming knowledge in C#, Java, Go, C/C++, or .NET
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP, TLS, HTTP, AMQP, MQ)
Experience with automation/orchestration tools (Puppet)
Familiarity with AWS cloud
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
Knowledge of container platforms (Kubernetes)
Preferred
4+ years of IBM MQ engineering experience
2+ years of C# development experience
Experience working on complex enterprise infrastructure projects
