Senior Software Engineer – Application Security
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Application Security team. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining .NET applications that support vulnerability management and security posture initiatives, involving both front-end and back-end development using the Microsoft technology stack.

Responsibilities
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Develop and maintain modern .NET web based and batch job applications supporting Application Security
Develop and maintain web applications using C# and the ASP.NET Core framework
Design and build user interfaces with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
Design and development using databases like SQL Server (including writing complex queries and stored procedures) and ORM tools such as Entity Framework Core
Develop and consume RESTful APIs and web services to enable seamless data exchange between client and server sides
Implement new web features using .Net framework aligned with firms secure development practices
Design, develop and deploy customization to support firms AI-driven solutions and ecosystem for Application Security use cases
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Qualification
Required
4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of experience in .NET development (C#, ASP.NET) including version 8 or later
4+ years of ASP.NET Core, object-oriented programming, and MVC architecture
4+ years of experience with SQL Server and database design
Preferred
Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, and the broader .NET ecosystem
Experience with RESTful APIs and frontend frameworks (Angular or React)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
Proficiency with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and version control systems (GitHub)
Proficiency in SQL Server or experience with other relational/NoSQL databases, including database design and management
Deep understanding of encryption, authentication, access control, and secure coding practices
Familiarity with AI/ML development including frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
