Responsibilities
Design, enhance, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability across enterprise data workflows
Build and maintain BI reports and dashboards using SSRS, with the ability to adapt skills to modern, cloud-based BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, or similar) as business needs grow
Manage data models and data warehouse structures to support accurate, scalable reporting
Deliver sophisticated ad hoc, automated, and self-service reporting solutions that enable business stakeholders to access insights efficiently and accurately
Strengthen data quality, security, governance, and compliance practices across BI solutions, proactively identifying and resolving data integrity issues
Collaborate with analysts, developers, and QA teams in an agile environment to shape requirements, influence solution design, and ensure alignment with business objectives
Support releases with documentation, deployment scripts, and testing assistance
Identify and drive opportunities to modernize BI capabilities through automation, cloud native tooling, performance improvements, and the adoption of AI enhanced analytics practices
Share expertise with peers by contributing to code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and the continuous improvement of BI development standards
Qualification
Required
BE or BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred or relevant experience
5+ years of experience developing reports with SSRS or another enterprise BI/reporting tool with the ability to design scalable, maintainable reporting solutions
7+ years SQL Server experience (2017+ preferred), with advance expertise in query design, optimization, and troubleshooting complex database issues
Proficiency with Git or similar version control tools in collaborative development environments
Extensive experience with ETL/ELT development and data warehouse architecture
Demonstrated success working with large, complex databases and BI projects in agile environments
Advanced proficiency in developing dashboards and analytics using modern, cloud based BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, QuickSight, or similar)
Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex assignments
Highly self-directed, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
Preferred
Experience applying data visualization best practices and advanced analytics techniques
Solid background working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or BigQuery, with the ability to design and optimize analytical solutions in a cloud environment
Extensive hands-on experience with cloud based ETL tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or similar), including building and optimizing complex, cloud native data pipelines
