The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) seeks a part-time Web Intern to work closely with the Manager of Digital Marketing. This internship will involve assisting in web content management, SEO tasks, and developing landing pages while accommodating school schedules.
Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Assist the Digital Marketing Manager in:
Working in our web content management system to make front-end and back-end updates for the PHS websites, PHSonline.org and tickets.phsonline.org
Reviewing / editing updated web content to best fit PHS brand and tone for the website
Pulling data and developing quarterly reports on website performance including data for our website blog
Completing search engine optimization tasks across the website to increase site health and performance
Build workshop and event landing pages in tandem with the Manager on the PHS websites, PHSonline.org and tickets.phsonline.org
Interface with key PHS employees on website updates and needs from their team
Other administrative and organizational tasks as needed

Required

Self-starter that is comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment and taking initiative
Ideal candidates should possess analytical, time management, and organizational skills
Ideal candidate will possess a passion for digital marketing and web design/development
Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and strong desire to learn
Strong research skills and ability to research effectively and independently
Proven track record of success in any aspects of communications and marketing
Knowledgeable of content management systems is a plus such as Drupal and WordPress
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Customer service background or experience a plus
