Responsibilities
Direct the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for commercial and residential properties
Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, escrow tracking, and tenant invoicing
Own the annual budget process and ongoing forecasting, including capital planning and detailed variance reporting
Monitor and ensure compliance with all real estate related tax matters, including property tax, sales and use tax, and required annual filings
Oversee the full month end and year end close cycle to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial policies
Collaborate with property management and executive leadership to deliver financial analysis and operational guidance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
8+ years of accounting experience with at least 5+ years focused on real estate accounting
Strong understanding of commercial and residential real estate accounting practices
Proficiency in Yardi is required
Proven leadership experience in an accounting environment
Preferred
CPA preferred
