Responsibilities
Develop Solidworks part model files at the piece part and assembly level to support new product development
Detailing of sheet metal, injection molded and die cast parts and assemblies, as needed
Generate engineering drawings to support production requirements
Develop and manage Bills of Material (product configuration management)
Support PPAP qualification activities, including generation of control plans, and PFMEAs
Prototype builds (including 3D printing) and testing, as needed
ISO 9001 and / or IATF knowledge is a plus
Generation of Product Specifications, Test Plans and Test Reports as needed
Support the Quality Team in the development and implementation of inspection procedures and standards
Develop assembly processes and write assembly work instructions
Support local manufacturing activities, including on-site visits
Local travel will be required up to 10% of the time
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 1-2 years product development experience
Must have experience with Solidworks CAD package
Superior communication (written, verbal, presentations), team building, and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and manage complex tasks and projects
Excellent computer skills including experience using MS Office suite
Preferred
ISO 9001 and / or IATF knowledge is a plus
