Responsibilities
Serve as the face of vulnerability analysis, working across business units (~50 remediation stakeholders) to translate Qualys findings into action
Lead vulnerability triage, validation, and remediation coordination in collaboration with IT, security, CDO, MSSP, and automation teams
Run lifecycle workflows end-to-end: from detection → validation → patch coordination → closure
Act as a liaison to the MSSP — review tickets, push work back, improve handoffs, and own process documentation (MSPP accountability a plus)
Join a collaborative team with IR, automation engineers, and business security counterparts
Contribute to security process optimization across the VM program lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Strong experience with Qualys – especially in analyzing, validating, and explaining vulnerabilities
Demonstrated vulnerability lifecycle ownership – not just scanning, but seeing issues through to resolution
Excellent business-facing communication – able to explain vulnerabilities to both tech and non-tech audiences
Experience working directly with MSSP vendors, handling remediation loops and process documentation
Ability to produce/update tech documentation for process-driven events
Preferred
Prior experience in government or defense environments (e.g., VAP – Vulnerability Analysis Program)
Former military/Senior NCO experience — candidates with that background who have hands-on Qualys exposure are highly preferred
Familiarity with automation tools or CDO integration workflows
Able to function independently in a startup-style, high-growth security org
