3+ years expBrooksource is seeking a Telecom Field Technician to support new Indiana substation projects focusing on field-based telecom and DC power work. The technician will work across multiple utility sites, performing installations and testing while coordinating with various teams.

Responsibilities
Perform telecom installations and follow project installation instructions
Coordinate with Engineering, PMs, NOC, and customers before work impacting alarms/outages
Conduct fiber, RF, and DC power testing (OTDR, TBERT, SONET, RF analyzers, load banks, etc.)
Document project status and escalate technical issues
Basic networking: IPv4, routing, physical/data link
Qualification
Required
Telecom, fiber installation, DC power, or substation field experience
Strong understanding of DC power systems (24VDC, -48VDC, POE, 130VDC)
Comfortable with field work in all weather; able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders
Associates degree or 3+ years telecom experience
Valid driver's license; dependable and safety‑minded
Preferred
Military or utility field background is a plus
