Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2019, 2022/2025+)
Configure and manage Windows Virtual Machines (VMs)
Support virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or other hypervisors
Perform RAID configuration and storage management
Rack, cable, and support physical server and network hardware
Assist with testing, documenting, and validating SIEM hardware, software, and infrastructure
Support efforts to redesign and rebuild a new SIEM environment
Perform system backups, recovery, and patching activities
Maintain system configurations and ensure data integrity and compliance
Apply basic networking concepts including IP addressing, gateways, routing, and ports
Use firewall GUIs to configure rules, update IPs, and modify ports as needed
Provide basic support and troubleshooting for Splunk (not expert level)
Create and maintain technical documentation and system records
Work under general supervision and report to a project lead or manager
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of experience as a System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer
Strong experience with Windows Server configuration and administration
Hands-on experience with RAID, hardware setup, and cabling
Experience configuring Windows VMs and virtualization platforms (ESXi, Hyper-V, etc.)
Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, gateways, routing)
Ability to configure firewall rules using a GUI
Some exposure to Splunk or SIEM tools is a plus
Comfortable working in a regulated, security-sensitive environment
No degree required
Preferred
Experience supporting SIEM platforms or security infrastructure
Prior experience in nuclear, energy, or other regulated environments
Strong documentation and compliance reporting skills
