Casting Cleaning Operator B 2nd Shift
O'Fallon Casting is a company specializing in foundry operations, and they are seeking a Casting Cleaning Operator B for the 2nd shift. The primary responsibility of this role is to remove ceramic shell material from cast parts while following safety and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities
Shall consistently follow all applicable work instructions
Shall receive daily work assignments from the supervisor
Shall be able to efficiently and effectively use high pressure water wash equipment, hand sanding cabinets, and manual wash cabinets to remove ceramic shell material from castings, following the electronically provided work instructions
Shall place individual castings on racks maintaining batch integrity, keeping the appropriate test bars together with the castings
Shall exercise extreme care in removing the ceramic from the castings, avoiding any water blast damage
Shall visually inspect all castings, notifying the supervisor of any cleaning problems
Shall transfer castings to the next operation on the process sheet
Shall replace plexiglas viewing windows, and do other minor maintenance as required
Shall be capable of establishing acceptable casting cleaning techniques (including fixturing) for sample and preproduction runs
Shall maintain all labor vouchers, records, and files, in addition to a variety of logs where accuracy is paramount, and enter all required information into the Company software in a timely manner
Shall attend and successfully complete hazardous material / waste handling classes
Shall maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
Shall attend and successfully complete lock out / tag out training
Shall attend and successfully complete training in the proper techniques of lifting
Shall perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be able to tolerate the normal temperature swings typically experienced in a foundry environment
Must be able to tolerate the damp, wet conditions due to working around water blasting equipment
Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity to perform the physical demands of the job
Must have average working knowledge of personal computers and related software
