Responsibilities
Assigning International Classification of Disease diagnoses, CPT procedure codes, HCPCS codes and Evaluation and Management codes to all physician offices, emergency department, and outpatients occasions of services for billing and reimbursement purposes
Work independently and as a team
Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of Medical Terminology, anatomy, disease processes, pharmacology, surgical procedures and abbreviations
RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CPC, COC, CCS or CCS-P required
Preferred
Minimum of 2-4 years International Classification of Disease and CPT coding experience preferred
