Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership, and manage budget and schedule for Material Center material data management solution. Candidate will resolve various technical issues, recommend enhancements, and support the continued expansion of the database to other Lockheed Martin sites and Business Areas
Lead the Surface Design for Performance corrosion simulation and plating simulation modeling projects
Contribute Materials and Process knowledge to aircraft programs, evolving to subject matter expert
Coordinate material qualification projects through fabrication, testing, allowable generation, and specification release
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to meet technical and business goals and objective
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering groups, program teams, and production teams
Comfortable communicating with peers, leadership, customers, and subcontractors
Working side by side with designers, analysts, project engineers, and other M&P engineers you’ll use your education, experience, and growing expertise to drive innovation in Material Data Management (MDM) tools, simulation modeling, and material qualification
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
Working knowledge of JavaScript and Python scripting languages
Minimum of 5 years of Materials and Process experience
US citizenship required as most programs and projects assigned are ITAR restricted
Preferred
Technical knowledge in materials, both composites and metallics, and manufacturing, and experience with programming
Integration and Test/Troubleshooting experience
Experience with Sikorsky process improvements
