Responsibilities
Ensure GAAP-compliant accounting practices
Own the monthly and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness
Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements
Partner with executive leadership by developing management reports such as: P&L by product / service, Gross margin by practice, Utilization and delivery margin, Variance analysis
Identify, design, and implement internal controls and scalable processes across AP, AR, collections, cash management, and administration
Create, maintain, and execute standard accounting policies and procedures
Streamline close timeline to 5 business days or less
Support audits and complete audit request responses
Own accounting systems setup, integrity, and optimization
Drive improvements in financial systems, including workflow automations
Qualification
Required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
Public accounting experience (Big 4 or reputable regional firm) required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong technical understanding of US GAAP
Demonstrated experience leading a month end close process
Self-starter, interested in building processes from the ground up and supporting strategic decision-making
Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
Preferred
Experience with mid-market accounting systems, Sage Intacct preferred
Familiarity with multi-entity environments in acquisitive, private equity-backed organizations preferred
