Special Fabrication Technician

They are seeking a Special Fabrication Technician to join their Production Facility in Goleta, California, where the technician will be responsible for packaging IR detectors and performing various electro-mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities

Conduct test measurements utilizing multimeter
Use several types of small hand tools
Calibrate equipment
RADP system to follow instructions on proper builds
Factory services protocols
Build cable assemblies while utilizing microscopes
Create different types of harnesses while working off schematics

Qualification

IPC J-STD-001 certificationIR Systems experienceClean room experienceManufacturing experienceFOD prevention methodsESD protocolsElectro-mechanical skillsSoldering skillsMultimeter usageSmall hand toolsCalibration skillsCable assemblyWorking off schematics

Required

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
Clean room experience

Preferred

IPC J-STD-001 certification
Experience with IR Systems, Focal Plane Assembly packaging processes
Experience with FOD and FOD-prevention methods
Experience with ESD protocols
