$45/hr - $55/hrAgility Partners is supporting an enterprise team in Cincinnati seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to lead automated testing efforts across modern data platforms. This role blends hands‑on test automation, framework development, and collaboration within Agile data delivery teams.

Responsibilities
Build, enhance, and maintain automated test frameworks using modern open‑source tools
Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Java‑ and Python‑based data APIs
Support automated testing for data movement technologies including Kafka and big‑data tools
Conduct XML/SOAP UI and web services testing
Collaborate closely within Scrum or Kanban teams—participating in standups, planning, grooming, retros, and demos
Provide strong technical direction while partnering with developers, analysts, and QA engineers
Create BDD test scripts (Features, Scenarios, Step Definitions) using Cucumber/Gherkin within a custom automation framework
Develop Selenium automation using JUnit/TestNG, and build Maven targets for running automation suites
Configure and execute automated regression suites via Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
Utilize Selenium WebDriver/GRID to automate regression testing for web applications
Leverage SQL and scripting languages (Python, Java, C++) for test automation
Communicate clearly with cross‑functional partners and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience building automated test frameworks
Strong background in UI, API, and data testing
Experience with Java and/or Python
Selenium WebDriver / GRID expertise
Jenkins, Maven, JUnit/TestNG
SOAP UI / XML / Webservices testing
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban)
Preferred
Experience with Kafka
Big data tools or data engineering familiarity
JavaScript technologies (Node.js, Angular)
Automation certifications (Python, Java, C++, etc.)
