Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with the Federal Business Line to ensure the Builder SMS databases are kept current with condition assessments on facilities and other classifications as outlined in the Army BUILDER SMS Inventory and Assessment Guide
Perform assessments on client facilities using professional expertise and judgment to determine physical condition and conformance with building codes and inspection criteria
Update inspection and conditions results within BUILDER Sustainment Management System
Produce reports and recommendations based on data captured in Sustainment Management Systems

Required

Bachelor's degree
Ability to become certified in BUILDER SMS within 6 months of hire date
Ability to travel overnight up to 30%
Understand a project work plan and execute based on a client's requirements
Ability to assess multiple buildings within large complexes in a timely and detailed manner
Ability to conduct services by abiding by safety precautions
Able to produce quality work with minimal oversight
Proficient in written and oral communication skills according to skill requirements
Possess strong computer skills, able to read, write, and comprehend written instructional documents
Working knowledge of how database's are created, formed, and upkept
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Prolonged periods of standing and walking within buildings
Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to loud noises
Ability to lift 25 pounds at times
Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and reach with arms and hands as necessary
Ability to hear and see to position and safety requirement levels
Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals
Must be able to successfully pass an extensive background investigation

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management
Licensure PE, EIT, Registered Architect, Asset Management
Working Knowledge of Building Construction and Maintenance
0-5 years Technical Knowledge and field experience with BUILDER SMS
