Responsibilities
Providing technical feedback into the design and implementation of re-engineering efforts on our MIT equities systems, including the exchange, surveillance and price dissemination platforms
Acting as the operations SME for one or more of the supported MIT equities applications
Developing training materials and provide seminars and workshops on the support of MIT equities applications to colleagues in the UK
Providing Level 2 technical advice and risk assessment based on knowledge of applications, databases and system software
Ensuring that all operational responsibilities are performed including monitoring systems and deploying releases
Providing effective customer concern and resolution of issues and problems to customers
Gaining an in-depth knowledge of the unit's processes
Level 2 support for critical trading systems and meet SLAs for supported services
Identifing and implementing operational improvements for processes, performance and reliability
Building CI/CD pipelines orchestrating the promotion of code
Defining and implementing cloud native operational requirements
Building Onprem and AWS/Cloud based applications
Keeping artifacts up to date and relevant while actively promoting knowledge sharing
Qualification
Required
2+ years of DevOps experience
Experience with some of the following technologies: Millennium Exchange, Linux, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Datadog, Moogsoft, Big Panda, Git, Bitbucket, Elastic Search, Scripting Technologies (Bash / PowerShell), Control-M, Jira, Confluence
Experience in developing cloud native applications
Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning and application deployment
Service Management and ITSM practice
