Responsibilities
Guideline Compliance Review: Carefully review and analyze legal invoices daily, ensuring alignment with client Outside Counsel Guidelines and industry standards for reasonableness
Appeals Management: Oversee invoice appeals within required turnaround times, ensuring fairness and accuracy throughout the review process
Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose alternative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in invoice review procedures
Project Management: Participate in periodic legal bill review projects to support our clients' financial success
Qualification
Required
Prior experience as an insurance defense or plaintiff paralegal, insurance claims handler, general insurance paralegal, or in a workers' comp or similar paralegal role handling routine types of high case counts with low hours
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage large volumes of legal data efficiently
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound legal judgment when assessing invoice compliance and reasonableness based on guidelines and industry standards
Ability to approach complex challenges with a strategic mindset and contribute to process improvements
A professional demeanor, exemplifying our company values in all interactions
Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF
Preferred
Familiarity with legal bill review
Familiarity with eBilling systems
