Engineering Supervisor, Nuclear

Responsibilities
Manage engineering work assignments to ensure the group is responding appropriately to department and organizational needs
Control engineering cost through maximization of staff productivity and tracking expenditures within budget parameters
Monitor personnel and group effectiveness in achieving established goals
Function as a team leader as needed
Supervise personnel performance and resolve employee conflict or concerns
Communicate with all levels of the organization including representing the department at all meetings
Propose process and design changes that improve station and personnel efficiency
Ensure all activities are performed within regulatory and procedural guidelines
Interface with other Entergy sites to implement best practices in a standardized approach
Interface with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of station activities
Communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing
Qualification
Required
B.S. Degree in Engineering
3 years of professional level experience in nuclear services, nuclear plant operation, or nuclear engineering
Understanding and application of procedures and concepts within own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines
Applies understanding of how the team relates to other closely related areas to improve efficiency of own team
Has formal supervisory responsibilities; sets priorities for and coaches employees to meet daily deadlines
Impacts the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team and its contribution to the sub-function
Uses tact and diplomacy to exchange information and handle sensitive issues
Must meet requirements specified in ANSI/ANS Standards and Regulatory Guidelines
