Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support IP-based network infrastructure in support of Datalink systems used across aircraft, ground control stations, and test environments
Collaborate with RF Systems Engineers to develop and integrate network solutions that support LOS and BLOS/SATCOM communications architectures
Develop and document network configurations, interface definitions, and system integration plans
Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues impacting datalink operation, including routing, switching, and interface control
Work with internal project teams and customer representatives to define, analyze, and refine system requirements
Support System Integration Lab (SIL) and flight test environments by configuring, monitoring, and maintaining mission network components
Coordinate network modifications, upgrades, and lifecycle management for routers, switches, firewalls, and supporting hardware
Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact mission network performance or availability
Develop networking configurations in support of cybersecurity requirements and continuously update/maintain network devices for cyber hardening
Produce technical documentation including system specifications, network design drawings, and test procedures
Participate in cross-functional design reviews and technical interchange meetings
Perform other duties as assigned or required

Required

Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; six or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, four or more years of experience with a masters degree, or two or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education
Intermediate knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies and protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, MACsec, QoS, DMVPN)
Hands-on experience implementing and supporting TCP/IP network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, traceroute, SNMP, NetFlow, iPerf, etc.)
Ability to plan and execute complex technical tasks and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required

Preferred

Understanding of network integration with RF, Communications, or SATCOM systems and mission networks is desirable
