Responsibilities
Administer and optimize Oracle database environments, including Exadata infrastructure
Provide secondary DBA support across SQL Server environments
Support decommissioning of legacy OMS systems, including:
Untangling legacy database dependencies and integrations
Archiving and migrating historical data
Supporting system retirement and data lifecycle strategy
Monitor and optimize database performance across transactional, event-driven, and application-integrated workloads
Execute and maintain backup and recovery strategies
Perform database performance tuning and capacity planning
Partner with application teams and infrastructure teams to support production systems
Participate in on-call rotation (approximately every 3 weeks; remote during on-call week)
Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and operational standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years of Database Administration experience
Strong Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata (required)
Experience supporting SQL Server environments
Experience supporting transactional database workloads
Experience with performance tuning, backup, and recovery
Experience working primarily in on-premise database environments
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred
Exposure to MongoDB (nice to have; environment is being phased out)
Experience supporting ERP, OMS, or supply chain-related systems
Experience supporting data migration, archival, or legacy system decommissioning initiatives
Experience working in smaller DBA teams or lean infrastructure organizations
