Responsibilities
Drive the implementation of holistic development across products, ensuring development aligns with designs
Influence and collaborate broadly across product, business, and design teams to promote consistency and scalability
Partner closely with Design Architect, Product Designers, Front-end Architect, Developers, and Product Owners to build and maintain consistent and systemic components
Collaborate with product managers to review stories and functional requirements for new features and initiatives
Work in an agile environment partnering with product teams, frontend architects, and developers to implement systemic front-end components and adopt them into the broader company ecosystem
Works closely with the Design Architect to ensure the design solutions are implemented systematically
Qualification
Required

At least five years of relevant professional experience contributing to a design system that powers a multi-tenant white-label product or website
Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, Sass, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React (preferred), Vue, or Angular; skilled in cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and semantic coding best practices
Deep understanding of WCAG and WAI-ARIA guidelines; experienced in accessible component design, screen reader and keyboard testing, and integrating accessibility into scalable systems
Experienced with Figma (including plugin and API development), Style Dictionary, Storybook, and Chromatic for managing, documenting, and testing design tokens and components
Skilled in Git/GitHub, Jira, and Agile methodologies; comfortable working iteratively with cross-functional, distributed teams; excels in improving dev processes to conform to best practices and code standards
Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and quickly adopt new technologies and tools; portfolio demonstrates system thinking, scalability, and accessibility in code
Willingness to travel approximately once per quarter to engage with teams in a co-located environment
Preferred
Ability to readily admit to mistakes and quickly learn from them to make the product better
Ability to solve problems quickly by identifying root causes
Self-motivated, eager to seek out problems and establish long-term solutions
Understanding that user experience is key above all else, and is best served by partnering with others
