Foreign Materiel Program Officer

The United States Space Force (USSF) is seeking a Foreign Materiel Program Officer to join the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC). This role involves leading complex Acquisition Intelligence projects and providing expertise on Foreign Materiel Acquisition to support operational efforts and policy decisions within the Space Force and related programs.

Responsibilities

Leading a wide variety of complex and non-routine Acquisition Intelligence projects, programs, and teams
Supporting the acquisition processes, systems, and activities for the Space Force, the Department of the Air Force, the DoW, and other national-level programs
Delivering unique, timely, and detailed foreign materiel exploitation intelligence on space system capabilities and vulnerabilities to support operational efforts, acquisition programs, and policy decisions
Communicating tailored results to a variety of audiences, including center, squadron, and flight leadership

PCS is authorized and paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing
An extensive background in foreign materiel acquisitions is desirable
Incumbent may be subject to psychological screening/polygraph testing as an inherent primary requirement of their position
This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period or 2-year trial period
Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest
This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first
