Ensures that patient accounts are accurately reviewed and prepared for timely billing
Verifying documentation
Confirming payer information
Addressing potential claim denials
Collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless billing processes
Responsible for preparation and administration of the department’s revenue cycle
Analyzes billing data
Keeps statistics
Generates reports
Handle the more complex billing issues
Troubleshoot
Resolve or escalate problems and concerns to management
Qualification
Required
2+ years related experience, including 1 year as a Billing Representative
Knowledge of payer policies, and claim submission processes
Problem-solving skills to identify and address potential billing issues proactively
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
Familiarity with hospital billing systems
Great communication preferred
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience
