Manufacturing Engineer / Engineering Technician

Audia is focused on developing and optimizing compounding extrusion processes and plant processes. The Manufacturing Engineer / Engineering Technician is responsible for process development, optimizing machine set-ups, and managing special projects while championing Continuous Improvement to enhance performance in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Provides technical support to daily manufacturing operations, including process optimization, process development, new product scale up, equipment troubleshooting and screw design
Assists, as required, in the evaluation of raw materials for approved use in new or existing product formulations
Contributes to and participates in the development and implementation of procedures and work instructions to satisfy corporate compliance to quality management systems
Identifies and implements corrective actions for customer complaints and internal product build failures
Leads the Operating Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) meetings with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality and drive action items to closure
Drives and implements key initiatives (Lean, Visual Factory, Problem Solving, Etc.)
Leads the pre-trial planning process to ensure the safe and reliable execution of new product samples and scale-ups
Works cross-functionally and across the factory to support learning and continuous improvement
Supports future plant expansion projects and continuous improvement projects
Leads commission/validation of new equipment and processes
Support all other company objectives in safety, growth, people, quality, capacity, and productivity in compliance with the Quality Management System

Required

4-year degree in a science/engineering field OR 3 or more years of relevant manufacturing experience
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across different skill and knowledge levels
Self-motivated, willingness to learn new things
Ability to process information quickly and make decisions based on available data
