They are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience to perform structural analysis and design for commercial and institutional building projects, while leading project teams and ensuring effective communication throughout the design process.

Responsibilities
Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects
Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings
Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to execute structural designs
Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design
Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications
Manage profitability of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients
Work closely with the Discipline Manager to support the needs of the department, projects, and growth objectives
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering
PE or SE registration in any state
10 or more years of experience with design of concrete, steel, and timber structures
Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight
Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Registered CA Structural Engineer
M.S. degree in Structural Engineering or related field
Multi-discipline project management experience
Experience with DSA and OSHPD
Experience with 3D modeling software (ETABS, RISA, SAFE)
