Responsibilities
Develop and automate infrastructure with Terraform
Create reusable, modular orchestrated code to deploy resources
Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
Champion managing cloud environments in accordance with cloud best practices and security guidelines
Collaborate with Product Teams, architects, and Engineers to deliver positive cloud deployment experiences
Mentor junior developers in design patterns, best practices, and software development strategy
Participate in an on-call rotation that provides 24x7 platform support
Stay technically curious, research and implement new technical solutions
Identify and influence ways to improve our technology, process & performance
Participate in an agile scrum-based software development environment
Excel in fast-paced customer focused environment which embraces the newest technologies and techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, related degree field OR related practical experience
Minimum 7 years' experience working within Enterprise IT with Bachelor of Computer Science, or equivalent relevant work experience
3-5 years' experience of development languages; to include but not limited to Terraform, Bicep, JSON, Python, JavaScript, or YAML
5+ years' experience in public cloud environments – GCP, AWS, Azure, or equivalent experience
Preferred
Expert knowledge of configuration and best practices around Cloud resources to include VMs, VNETs, Security Groups, IAM, Key Management, SQL, Cosmos DB, Private Link, Kubernetes, Data Bricks, etc
Advanced knowledge of cloud-native resources and deployment to ensure scalability, resiliency, performance, and reliability
Advanced trouble shooting capabilities of Cloud and Infrastructure Services
Experience working within a Dev Ops framework using CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Atlassian suite of products to include JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket & Bamboo
Knowledge of cloud database and storage concepts
