Responsibilities
Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments
Analyzes and interprets data, compiles results, and prepares reports
Maintains inventory, ordering, and logs
Writes manuscripts and grant proposals and prepares data visualizations
Reviewing the Operating room schedule to identify cases eligible for research projects
Working closely with the Department of Pathology, the incumbent will collect, process, disburse, and store human biological materials based on established protocols
Processing may include but is not limited to aliquoting blood products, gross dissection of tissue, and PBMC isolation
Trains new staff members on standard operating procedures associated with each study to ensure that the needs of each project are met
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of experience
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Adept to multi-tasking
Organizational skills
Ability to walk to and from locations within the hospital
Ability to stand for long periods of time at the bench
Ability to read small print on tubes, cryovials, and labels
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to bend and lift to put away supplies
Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement
