Responsibilities
Provide IT support for remote and hybrid Skybound Games teams and external development partners. Act as the primary hands-on resource for all IT needs while maintaining company technology standards
Partner closely with the central Technology team, escalating complex issues, coordinating shared initiatives, and ensuring security, compliance, and infrastructure alignment
Develop and refine studio IT workflows and documentation. Build automation wherever possible to reduce repetitive tasks and speed up operations. Reuse existing standards and contribute improvements back to shared technology resources across the company
Drive strategy and policy for backups, retention, and archiving across cloud and on-premises environments for source assets, build data, and critical infrastructure
Manage hardware lifecycle management for high-performance computing: developer/QA workstations, console devkits, demo/playtest machines, storage tiers, and specialized equipment used in game development
Drive onboarding and offboarding for internal studio staff and external partner teams, including licensing, access provisioning, MFA, and role-appropriate security controls
Implement and enforce secure asset workflows with identity management, EDR, patching, and privileged access controls in partnership with the central Technology team
Lead hardware and software lifecycle and procurement planning, ensuring performance and availability meet project milestones and cost targets
Coordinate external partner integrations, managing secure access, collaboration environments, version control systems, and data transfer processes
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of professional IT experience supporting game development or similar media/creative production environments; understands real-world production lifecycle and dev workflows
Strong expertise supporting Unreal Engine, Unity tooling, version control, and build pipelines in production environments
Strong expertise in Windows workstation build and performance tuning, GPU troubleshooting, network connectivity for hybrid or multi-site teams, and hybrid storage solutions
Strong knowledge of security-first best practices, including identity governance, vulnerability management, and IP protection throughout the dev lifecycle
Experience automating IT operations (PowerShell, Python, CI/CD tooling)
A self-directed leadership mindset and problem-solver who makes decisions independently, sees around the corners, drives process improvements and change without constant direction
Preferred
Passion for games and an understanding of the unique needs of development and publishing teams
Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Azure for hosting, storage, and backup management
Experience managing vendor solutions, evaluating technology for performance, cost, and security
Experience managing secure partner environments and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, or platform security requirements from Xbox, PlayStation, or Epic)
Experience supporting trade shows and demo environments, including temporary network setups and hardware staging
