Quality Assurance Supervisor

Responsibilities
Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and provide clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations
Oversee the lab and its equipment for product testing
Evaluate and provide proper training for all department personnel
Direct work assignments and ensure efficient labor utilization
Lead cross-functional teams to drive process and product improvements
Lead problem-solving teams with the use of QA methodologies to manage and facilitate issue resolution including root cause investigations and the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective corrective and preventive actions
Develop and implement quality standards and ensure products meet the expectations of our customers
Lead/facilitate, review, and disposition of discrepant materials identified for control of nonconforming product
Establish quality performance metrics and drive issues to true root cause solutions
Audit manufacturing line against released manufacturing processes and procedures
Assist in the identification and resolution of manufacturing product excellence issues
Perform on-site analysis of quality-related issues; lead/perform product containment activities and arrange for disposition and follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards
Able to perform QA Manager Responsibilities in his/her absence
Put continuous emphasis and clarity around EHS expectations
Confirm and reconfirm safety as the number 1 value
Sets goals for QA Department; achieves goals and ensures that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals
Assisting QA Manager with all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
College degree in business, management, manufacturing, or STEM fields
Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Systems in a manufacturing environment
Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role
Computer expertise including fluency in all Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct employees
Ability to travel domestically as required (5-10%)
Candidates must be able to lift to 25 pounds occasionally
Requires the ability to prioritize work effectively and make informed decisions
Proficiency in reading charts, documenting numbers, and recording events both on paper and digitally, required
Able to interpret electrical indicators and laboratory equipment readings
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Understands goals of the group and interact with digital and basic computerized record & control systems
Preferred
Experience in ISO 9001 and SQF preferred
