Responsibilities
Performs research, analysis and design for roadways, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, pavement and temporary traffic control plans
Prepare engineering analysis, studies, reports, technical specifications, and quantity and cost estimates
Prepare engineering scope of services, and labor and cost estimates for specific tasks
Monitor task budgets and schedules, and prepare project status and other reports
Communicate project details with other designers and engineers
Conduct quality control reviews of analysis, design plans and cost estimates
Participate in oral technical presentations
Attend and/or conduct client, internal project meetings and on-site inspections as needed
Attend professional development seminars and/or training classes
Maintain excellent client relations
Maintain a safe working environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
8+ years of experience in related design projects for MDOT or ODOT and local agencies
8+ years of experience designing with both 2D and 3D elements of either Bentley OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D
Working knowledge of AASHTO, MDOT or ODOT, and local roadway design standards
