The primary purpose of this role is to assist the HR team with various administrative tasks, including recruitment, applicant support, and data entry into the HR systems.

Responsibilities
Assist in the recruitment and hiring of temporary and student employees
Provide assistance at job fairs
Assist applicants in completing their employment applications
Screen applications for minimum qualifications
Conduct phone interviews with applicants and schedule interviews for search committees
Check references for selected candidates
Enter HR data into PeopleSoft system, and navigate through the applicant tracking systems
Communicate human resources information to applicants, employees and supervisors; accurately and professionally explain processes
Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers
Maintain program integrity and confidentiality
Other projects or assignments may be assigned
Be an ambassador for Campus Enterprises and the university as a whole and enrich the quality of life for the campus community and support student success
Work as a cohesive team member and play an integral part in creating a positive work environment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work
Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Platform, including word processing and spreadsheet experience, and email on a regular basis
Maintain a high attention to detail and have superior organizational skills to handle multiple projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate with multiple levels of employees within the University
Provide outstanding customer service, including the ability to remain calm and respectful under pressure when dealing with difficult situations, to team and customers
Requires discretion and diplomacy due to exposure of confidential information
Preferred
Experience using applicant tracking and HRIM systems
Previous work experience in human resources, specifically in recruitment and hiring
Higher education work experience
