New Grad, Entry LevelTrex Company is a leader in the composite decking industry, known for its sustainable practices and innovative products. They are seeking a Sort Technician to assist in sorting usable plastic from contamination, ensuring safety and quality in the manufacturing process.
Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Cut and remove baling wire from contaminated plastic bales
Remove contamination and other debris from the usable plastic along a conveyor belt
Demonstrate punctual and regular attendance and be able to work overtime as required
Willingness to become forklift certified
Assist in loading usable plastic into baler
Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
Knowledge of lock out/tag out
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and SDS Standards
Participate in monthly inventory counts
Perform housekeeping duties
Participate in Polyco-related project teams
Assist in baler preventative maintenance
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Attention to detail
Strong communication and customer service skills
English proficiency
Effective verbal and written communication
Teamwork
Time management
Priority setting to focus on critical tasks and foster collaboration
Willingness to become forklift certified
Knowledge of lock out/tag out
Ability to demonstrate punctual and regular attendance
Ability to work overtime as required
